Dog’s Eye View Media (DEVM) announces the Volunteer Before You Die ™ Network! In conjunction with the launch of the first book in the ‘Volunteer Before You Die’ series, DEVM is launching a full network of online resources designed to:
· Promote positive volunteer travel experiences.
· Create a ‘fee free’ platforms allowing small NGOs, nonprofits and large volunteer travel providers each to presented project details and news releases to potential volunteers on an equal level
· Encourage discussions on issues, good and bad, regarding individual projects and volunteer experiences in an effort to educate travelers, while improving and promoting the industry of voluntourism
· Increase communication between like-minded travelers, sharing photos, videos, advice and thoughts among serial volunteer travelers, newbie's and anyone wanting to learn more about the road best traveled
· Allow Nola Lee Kelsey and DEVM to monitor trends, along with traveler and project discussions in order to build and fine-tune future editions of the Volunteer Before You Die book series.
The network will include a combination of a blog, Facebook group, Twitter posts and a monthly newsletter. In addition, a website (VolunteerBeforeYouDie.com) will be launched prior to the book. The site will provide a unified point for the network and will be the central point where projects coordinators, nonprofits and other volunteer traveler providers can find information, submit project details, send press releases to the network and work with our team to insure their opportunities are presented to travelers quickly and kept up-to-date for future titles.
As part of growing an active and informative network we invite all suggestions form travelers and all others with an interest in the voluntourism industry. |
